National Family Weeks

November 15-29, 2008

Event Information:

The National Family Weeks celebration has been part of Family Services, Inc.’s special events for over 25 years. This event recognizes the important role of families in caring for individual members and encourages and supports healthy family life.

Community Participation:

The events are organized and coordinated by a committee of local volunteers from businesses and community organizations.

Poster and essay contest

Each year there is a poster and essay contest centered around a family theme, and participating students receive a certificate of participation.

Tempest Homes Scholarship

The Tempest Homes Scholarship is a $500 award to help pay for books and expenses for the first semester of class.

Distinguished Family

Nominate a family you admire for recognition as a Distinguished Family at the National Family Week Awards Dinner in November at The Outpost Banquet Facility in Lafayette.  Recognition is based on how the family supports the development of the 40 Assets among their members.
